Pre-College Programs
As you consider different fields to study in university, and career pathways after you graduate, CMU-Q’s pre-college programs can help guide you.

Experience CMU-Q
Twice a year, CMU-Q hosts high school students for a one-day workshop to explore one of our fields of study. Students spend the day learning more about biological sciences, business administration, computer science or information systems.
Summer College Preview Program
The SCPP is an academically intensive program where high school students learn the different facets of campus life. Students attend college-level preparation classes in math and writing, and create a project in one of our academic majors as part of a team. Many SCPP students go on to study at CMU-Q.

MindCraft
Computer science is about exploration, design and innovation; it is behind the tools we use daily, and it will be a driving force as technology continues to shape our world. MindCraft is an introduction to the concepts of computer science and the types of careers you can pursue in this field.
Pi Day Mathematics Competition
The Pi Day Mathematics Competition challenges high school students to practice their math skills, work in teams, and find creative approaches to solve puzzling problems.

Biotechnology Explorer Program
For students interested in science or medicine, CMU-Q offers the Biotechnology Explorer Program to introduce the type of work biological sciences students do in the laboratory. Participants investigate a scientific question in this hands-on workshop.
