QF Grant Program for CMU-Q Students

Cmu-Q campus image

Qatar Foundation provides a world-class financial aid program for students admitted to Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar. The program, which is possible thanks to the generosity of Qatar Foundation, provides need-based financial aid to students of all nationalities, with no repayment. Grants cover up to the full cost of attendance based on each family’s unique financial circumstances.
We advise all families to apply for the grant program, regardless of perceived ability to pay for the cost of attendance.

  • Low-need families may be eligible for a 10-20% grant
  • The university policy requires applicants to submit a grant application if they wish to be considered for merit scholarship funds.
  • If you are a non-Qatari student who will receive full funding to attend the university (for instance, through a government scholarship or employee benefit), please email us and we will waive the grant application requirement.

Financial Aid Decisions

We strongly advise students to submit their grant application before the priority deadline so we can issue financial aid decisions within one week of the admission decision. If you do not submit the grant application by the priority deadline, your financial aid decision will be significantly delayed.
