Biotechnology Explorer Program

Experience a day in the life of a biological sciences student. High school students will spend the day conducting hands-on experiments that showcase what our current students are doing daily in the lab. Your day, if you choose to embark on this adventure, includes close interaction with current students to answer questions about university life, as well as faculty and staff to help facilitate your experience to the fullest.

All high school students in Qatar are welcome to apply.

When

We hold the Biotechnology Explorer Program on one Saturday in the fall semester, and one in the spring semester. Watch this page for dates and registration information.

Where

The sessions take place in CMU-Q’s biological sciences laboratory. CMU-Q is located in Education City.

What

Led by CMU-Q faculty and staff, high school students receive an introduction to the kind of laboratory work that biological sciences students do. Since the laboratory is an essential part of the educational experience for bio sci students, this workshop is an opportunity for high school students interested in science to explore, learn, and ask questions.
