Sudeep Bhatia is an assistant professor of psychology at University of Pennsylvania. He studies the cognitive basis of preferential choice. His talk titled, “Knowledge representation in decision making” will outline preliminary attempts at building models of decision making with human-like knowledge representations. In addition to specifying the psychological mechanisms people use to form beliefs and preferences, these models also represent the information on which these psychological mechanisms operate.
