Dudley Reynolds named president of TESOL International Association

On April 8, 2016, Dudley Reynolds, teaching professor of English at CMU-Q, became the president of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) International Association at the 50th annual conference in Baltimore, Maryland. TESOL International Association brings together English language teachers of school-aged, university-aged and adult students from all over the globe.

Under Reynolds’ leadership, TESOL International Association looks to grow, reinvent and expand over the next year. Throughout the next year, Reynolds’ efforts will fall under the theme of TESOL 2.0: Engage, Enrich, Empower.

TESOL has a mandate to promote advocacy, good association governance, professional learning and engagement, research, and standards. In his keynote address in Baltimore, Reynolds outlined ways he will help guide TESOL over the next year to explore, examine and develop each of these areas.
