CMU-Q alum launches Bazaar-It

Asma Saeed Al-Kuwari has launched her new business, Bazaar-It, an e-commerce company that sells goods and services of local businesses. Al Kuwari has been developing the idea for nearly a year, working with Qatar Business Incubation Centre to develop a business model and launching the website in June 2016.

Asma is a graduate of the Business Administration program at Carnegie Mellon Qatar, and currently works with Ooredoo as a product manager in the marketing department. She and fellow CMU-Q grads Maryam Al-Semaitt and Abdulla AlKhenji were awarded at the inaugural GCC Entrepreneurs Forum for the best three startup ideas from Qatar. Al-Semaitt’s startup is called Makery, and AlKhenji, along with CMU-Q alum Haris Aghadi, are the founders of Meddy.

Al-Kuwari spoke with Qatar Tribune about Bazaar-It.
