CMU-Q launches new public website

Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar went live with its new public website, unveiling a fresh look for prospective students, their parents, and employers looking to recruit students and graduates.

The new website has a unique feature called, “Your Path to CMU Qatar,” an interactive tool that walks potential students through the steps of becoming a CMU-Q student. The site was built using the open source content management system, WordPress, and emphasizes a mobile-friendly, responsive design.

To build the new site, the website team consulted with faculty members from all disciplines, staff members from each institutional department, current CMU-Q students and a focus group of high school students who will be applying to universities within the next year or two. In all, more than 60 people contributed to the project.
