Carnegie Mellon graduates receive Education Excellence Day awards

Two Class of 2022 graduates from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), a Qatar Foundation partner university, were presented with Education Excellence Day awards by His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani. 

Mohammed Al-Qassabi, an information systems graduate, received a platinum award at the ceremony. He is currently working as a senior security data scientist with QatarEnergy. Abdulla Al-Kaabi, a business administration graduate, received a gold award. He works as an economic researcher for the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

Michael Trick, dean of CMU-Q, said: “Each year, the Education Excellence Day Awards recognize our new graduates who were academically strong and demonstrated exceptional creativity, service and innovation. Congratulations to Mohammed and Abdulla for this well-deserved honor.”

More than twenty CMU-Q alumni have received an Education Excellence Day Award.
