CMU psychology professor shares research on mindfulness

David Creswell shared his research on mindfulness training and what makes people resilient under stress. Creswell is an associate professor of psychology and director of the Health and Human Performance Laboratory at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh.

Creswell’s research includes community intervention studies, laboratory studies of stress and coping, and neuroimaging studies to understand how various stress management strategies alter coping and stress resilience. Creswell is investigating the impact of mindfulness meditation training on the brain, peripheral stress physiological responses, and stress-related disease outcomes.
