Quick StartUp 2016 welcomes students to hands-on entrepreneurship

On March 10, Quick StartUp will kick off with talks from some of Qatar’s most experienced entrepreneurs and incubators of new ventures. Quick Startup allows students to walk in with an idea, and three days later walk out with a rough business plan.

This year, organizers Tom Emerson and George White are inviting those who are new to entrepreneurship to participate in the first evening’s events: “We are encouraging those who are interested in entrepreneurship to come and listen, and if they like what they hear, they can continue over the weekend.”

Quick StartUp is an annual program where students begin with a concept and, with the help of industry mentors, develop a business plan and investor pitch over the course of the weekend. Qatar National Bank is sponsoring the event, providing mentorship and prizes for the best pitch.
