Teaching Interests

I immensely enjoy teaching mathematics, and I have a natural interest in finding innovative ways to convey the subject to my students.
On account of the increasingly prominent and critical role of mathematics in today's world, not to mention its technically challenging and
rigorous nature, I believe that inspirational teaching of mathematics at all levels -- from grade school to graduate school -- is of
tremendous practical and aesthetic importance. In teaching mathematics, my primary objective is to nurture understanding of the
subject via the geometric emphasis of meaning, and to further develop this process of understanding through relevant -- hopefully,
compelling -- real-world applications. In particular, motivated and informed by my high school background in technical drawing and
solid geometry, I seek ways to encourage direct visual interplay between the students and the mathematical constructs under consideration.
